Community Kai Story book

In November QLDC launched a new book called “Our Community Kai Story”. The book was created to celebrate the vital role that food plays in connecting our local community and as a tribute to the collective resilience that was demonstrated during the Covid-19 pandemic.

  • We’re delighted to share Our Community Kai Story - Tales of food, people and connection across Queenstown Lakes which was launched in November last year as tribute to the communities across our district.

    This 100 page book is filled with vibrant stories, recipes, and local knowledge. We had over 25 contributors take part, making this truly a community-led project. If you are keen to get your hands on a copy, you can! It’s available to purchase for $20 each or $30 for two at the following locations: Council Offices, Queenstown, Frankton and Wānaka Libraries, Wānaka Recreation Centre, Queenstown Event Centre, Paetara Aspiring Central, Te Atamira, Revology Bookstore, Lakes District Museum, and The Beadshop.
