Passionate about climate action and biodiversity? Got expertise that could help shape our district’s future? If so, we’ll soon be open for expressions of interest in joining the Climate Reference Group (CRG).
About the Climate Reference Group
The CRG plays a vital role in guiding QLDC’s climate and biodiversity efforts. Comprised of a diverse range of experts and community leaders, the group provides independent advice, strategic guidance, and ensures that our climate response is ambitious, effective, and aligned with best practices. Each term lasts three years.
Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking passionate, knowledgeable individuals who are committed to supporting meaningful climate and biodiversity action in our district. Whether you have expertise in environmental science, sustainable business, community engagement, renewable energy, or any other relevant field, we encourage you to apply.
How to get involved
Expressions of interest (EOI) will open in April. All submissions will be carefully reviewed, [RP1] with final recommendations approved by the Mayor. If you’re interested in helping shape the district’s response to climate change, this is your chance to contribute.

More details on the EOI process will be available soon. Keep an eye on the QLDC Climate Action website and social media channels for updates.
