Develop a programme of work to give effect to the National Policy Statement for Indigenous Biodiversity (NPS-IB).

  • Indigenous biodiversity programme of work: Develop a programme of work to give effect to the NPS-IB in the District Plan.
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders:  Work in partnership with key stakeholders to support shared understanding and coordinated action to protect and enhance indigenous biodiversity across the district.
  • Data collection on indigenous biodiversity:  Continue to collect information on important biodiversity across the district through planning policy, consenting and other Council processes.
  • Cross-department collaboration:  Improve cross-department collaboration to improve biodiversity outcomes, through regular information sharing and sustainable project management practices.
