Outcome Four: Communities Ngā Hapori

The district's annual Quality of Life Survey helps us to understand the resilience and preparedness of our communities for emergency events. Above image is from the connected communities page in the Wellbeing Dashboard linked below. 

We have partnered with Wao to deliver behaviour change projects across our communities. Wao produces an annual impact report which highlights key achievements.

We can partly measure our communities' resilience by the number of Community Emergency Hubs set up across the district (13 district wide). Further information can be found at link below. Each community response group also has a response plan in place.

Our Resilience and Climate Action team contributed a total of $200k in 2024 to help support the ongoing delivery of community-led programmes.
